Many consider e-learning development and production a black art. When you consider the amount of graphic design and html, flash, authorware, director and visual basic skills required, it’s easy to see why! That’s why our latest e-Learning project is so pivotal for us.
Delivered under budget, within four weeks, was not something that even crossed our minds when we initially agreed terms in January 2011. However, after countless sleepless nights, the finished system was delivered yesterday to a number of schools and colleges across the UK.
Why then was this so pivotal?
• Well in the first instance, the project involved the creation of a new e-learning player. A player developed in house that’s nimble, has a small footprint and is incredibly quick.
• Secondly, we used a new project methodology that forced us not to manage issues as they cropped up, rather deal with the issues up front through development of a watertight specification.
• Thirdly, we developed all the graphics and images inhouse, which may on the face of it, sound crazy but actually gave us complete creative control and the client a bespoke, “one off” and visually stunning elearning course.
